Registrations are open for the 2022/23 Season

Competition and training

The track and field season will commence on Saturday 8th October at 8.15am Stradbroke Park.

Our meets are held on Saturday mornings from 8.30am, we offer little athletics for U6-U15 at our grass track at Stradbroke Park, Kew. We also offer special events including: Wednesday twilight meets, multi event days, relays cross country and encourage all our eligible athletes to participate in regional and state competitions if they wish. For full details of the season calendar please click here.

We offer a structured program, which is conducted by qualified coaches at our track every Monday and Wednesday during the season at 4.30-6pm. The costs of training are included in your registration fees, training is optional and we do recommend attending training at least 1 x per week so your child can develop their skills, gain confidence and enjoy athletics.

Parent support

Our program is only made possible through parten support, and all parents are required to complete a role at 50% of regular competition days. There is a range of duties to complete every week and no experience is necessary, this also provides the opportunity for parents to connect with other parents and build on the strong sense of community that Kew Little Athletics Club is renowned for. If you are interested in joining our committee in any capacity we would love to hear from you: secretary@kewlac.org.au.

Uniform

On competition days athletes are to wear black shorts/pants and the Kew Little Athletics Centre uniform, this uniform is included in registration fees for all new athletes. In addition, each athlete is provided with a unique competitor patch that includes name, age group, registration number and barcode - this is used to record results.

For training athletes are recommended to wear appropriate clothing t-shirt, shorts/pants.
