Notice Board

Track and Field Championship is an individual competition for Boys and Girls in the Under 9 to Under 15 age groups.

To qualify or progress into the State Track and Field Championships, athletes must first compete at their zoned Region Track and Field Championships which are held in February.

There are nineteen (19) different events which are conducted at these championships.  These include 70m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m runs, discus, long jump, high jump, triple jump, shot put, javellin, walks and hurdles.  Athletes can choose what events they would like to compete in.  Athletes can complete in a maximum of four (4) events.  There is a charge to enter (at present $5 per event) which is payable to Jenny McCausland (Team Manager) or Kylie Italiano (Assistant Team Manager) on completing the Entry Form.

To ensure these days run as smoothly as possible, each centre is required to provide a number of officials for simple duties (e.g. setting up, packing up, writing out results, etc).  If your child is competing, expect to be rostered for part of the day on a duty.

Athletes must compete in Kew Little Athletics official club uniform.  If you do not have a uniform, please contact Manuela Dalla Costa, the Uniform Co-ordinator on 9859 8838.
